Before finalizing the works, the project of Hotel 1882, which is established in the heart of Barcelona, is already receiving recognition thanks to its commitment to sustainability. The contest Rethink Hotel 2017 awarded the building with an honorary recognition to the best project in sustainability and hotel rehabilitation in Spain executed and putting it as an example of sustainable hotel project at a national level. The 4 star hotel will have 182 rooms and a pool on the top with direct views of the Sagrada Familia, another icon of Barcelona.
The restaurant Ábac, located inside the same Hotel, has received its third michelin star thanks to the signature cuisine served by the hand of Chef Jordi Cruz. From GCA we are proud to have been able to collaborate with this "dream" when carrying out the architecture and interior design project of this emblematic Hotel Ábac and its respective restaurant. El hotel Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort Kaplankaya ha sido seleccionado como el "BEST Global Residential and Tourism Project for 2017" por la revista ENR, gracias a la calidad de la ejecución de obra que se llevó a cabo. La gala de los premios se celebrará el 23 de Octubre en el Sheraton Times Square de New York, donde nuestros compañeros de la constructora Turner International recogerán el galardón. The New York Times Style Magazine has published in its section "Magazine of the Week" the interior of the new office of lawyers of Cuatrecasas. The building designed by GCA Architects and located in 22 @ of Barcelona, is divided into two towers of 11 and 18 floors respectively, joined by a central atrium that enhances the distinctive volume game. The project covers 28,000 square meters of built area, with spacious common areas such as the auditorium with capacity for 220 people, a large dining room, a gym area and an outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the city.

GCA has been rewarded by the Prize Catalonia Construction by the excellent direction and execution of work that was carried out in Cuatrecasas's office project placed in 22 of Barcelona. Jesus Hernando and Daniel Fernandez represented to the " Night of the Construction ", organized by the Riggers' college of Barcelona (CAATEEB), which was celebrated in the Nautic Center of Barcelona, where they gathered the prize opposite to more than 500 persons, professionals and businessmen of the sector of the construction. The juror emphasized the qualit level obtained in the building together with the capacity of adjustment to the conditions and particularities of the client. Also the quality stood out in the precision and the execution of the work that was carried out in the short space of 17 months.

The winners of the V Prize Eurostars Madrid Tower of photography received a well-deserved tribute yesterday at the Hotel Eurostars Madrid Tower. Together with around 200 guests from the world of culture, they collected their prizes in a gala presided by the President of the Congress of Deputies, Ana Pastor, the president of Hotusa Group, Amancio López Seijas and Josep Juanpere founding partner of GCA ARchitects, as one of the members of the jury and responsible of the interior design at the Eurostars Madrid Tower 5*
GCA has been selected by the prestigious Architecture and Design magazine, The Plan, as one of the finalists for its annual prizes "The Plan Awards 2017" thanks to the work realized in the new Cuatrecasas offices project, placed in 22@ of Barcelona. Within the Office & Business category, values such details as 72 meters of height of the building, the resolution of the different created volumes and the certification LEED GOLD, wich constitutes an energetic saving of 30% in consumption , in comparison with the expense of the conventional Skycrapers.
GCA has been selected as a finalist in the Architizer Awards to, thanks to the project of the new Cuatrecasas offices situated in the 22 @ Barcelona. Within the category of more than 16-storey buildings, our project has been selected as one of the most voted by the jury and by popular vote.
GCA Architects finished the new Cuatrecasas lawyers headquarters, that is located in the 22@ district of Barcelona.
The building is divided in two towers, it rises 72 meters and is be able to hold more than 1000 people. The building conform to rigorous standards, set by the U.S. Green Building Council has the LEED GOLD certification, which in terms of consumption means an important decrease, saving up to 30% compared to that conventional high-rises.
Works have started for a new offices in Dakar.
GCA architcts made the project of three offices buildings, occupying a total area of 54.000 sqm. It is expected to finish work by the end of 2018.

The Eurostars Sevilla Tower will have 159 rooms, all with large windows overlooking the city. GCA has emphasized the role of the façade with a new room distribution. It has also designed a Spa center of 500 m2, located on the 35th floor. The interior design is seeking a balance between the modern architecture of the building and the characteristics of the Andalusian and Sevillian culture, without falling into clichés.
GCA won the competition promoted by PGA Catalunya Resort for the construction of a new hotel, in the golf course in Caldas de Malavella Girona.
The clarity of the concept and geometry of the building that takes advantage of all the possibilities that offered the site, were the premises to win the contest. The hotel will have 50 rooms and will be mainly addressed to the tourism linked to the practice of the golf.
On September 2016 was the opening of Noom Hotel Conakry in Guinea, GCA has taken part on the construction management of the 4 star Hotel in colaboration with Saota.
NOOM Hotel Conakry is set strategically in Kaloum, the financial district of Conakry, and right next to the sea, its façade is inspired by a cruise ship.

GCA is working on the project of an office building and car parc located on the corner of Llacuna street and Pallars street in Barcelona. The building has 36.000 sqm constructed area .
The design consists of a common ground floor area and three independent constructions on top, with an interior space for public use. The facade is a composition of two different skins, a part of metallic slats that cover the cores and the main rooms, protecting of the sun and views between buildings, and other part made of glass for work areas, which permit the relation between exterior and interior. Because of this concept, the building can obtain the LEED PLATINUM certification.
